These 2-Ingredient Bacon-Wrapped Dates are sweet, salty, and incredibly easy to make. With just dates and bacon, they bake into a simple appetizer that works every time.
Slice each date lengthwise and remove the pit if needed.
Wrap each date with one strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
Arrange the wrapped dates seam-side down on a lined baking tray.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, until the bacon is crisp and cooked through.
Notes
Choose Soft Dates: I like using Medjool dates because they stay soft and contrast nicely with the crisp bacon.Use a Rack If You Have One: Placing the dates on a rack over the tray lets the fat drip away and keeps them crisp.Best Served Warm: I find these taste best straight from the oven while the bacon is still crisp.
