Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C /400°F (180°C/356°F fan-forced).
Prepare the Foil: Tear off two large pieces of aluminum foil (large enough to wrap around the salmon). Place fresh rosemary sprigs on the aluminum foil.
Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, salt, black pepper, crushed garlic cloves, and juice from half of the lemon. Stir well to combine.
Season the Salmon: Place the boneless salmon fillet on the prepared foil. Use a spoon to evenly spoon the marinade mixture over the top of the salmon, ensuring it’s well-coated.
Add Lemon: Lay lemon slices on top of the salmon.
Wrap the Salmon: Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, creating a secure pouch. Make sure it’s tightly sealed to lock in the moisture.
Bake: Place the foil packet on the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Carefully open the foil, and serve the salmon with your choice of side dishes.
Notes
Choose the Right Salmon: Make sure your salmon fillet isn’t too thick, or it might need a little more time in the oven. A thinner fillet works great for a 10-minute bake.Don’t Overdo the Marinade: Spoon the marinade over the salmon gently. You want just enough to coat it nicely, not drown it. The butter and lemon will keep the salmon moist.Seal the Foil Well: When you wrap the foil, make sure it's tightly sealed. This helps trap all the juices inside and makes the salmon extra tender and flavorful.Check for Doneness: After 10 minutes, check the salmon by gently pressing it with a fork. If it flakes easily, it's done. If not, give it a couple more minutes, but keep an eye on it so it doesn’t dry out.Flavor Boost: Fresh rosemary and lemon are key to bringing out those bright, aromatic flavors. Don’t skip them, they make all the difference!
