Estefania Munoz Vargas, recipe developer, cookbook author, and food photographer

Hi, I'm Estefania, and I created Vargasavour Recipes to share the kind of food I genuinely cook at home, simple recipes made with everyday ingredients that anyone can prepare with confidence. Most of my cooking is inspired by Mediterranean flavors, the food I grew up with in Spain, and the recipes I've collected while living and traveling in different countries.

I develop, test, cook, photograph, and write everything you see here. My goal has always been to create recipes that are easy to follow, reliable, and full of flavor without requiring complicated techniques or hard-to-find ingredients.

A Little About Me

I was born in Spain, where food has always been an important part of everyday life. We gathered around the table for family meals, not because it was a special occasion, but because that's how we spent time together. Fresh vegetables, olive oil, seafood, slow-cooked dishes, and homemade desserts were all part of growing up, and those flavors still influence the way I cook today.

Life eventually took me far beyond Spain. After living in Spain for many years and later moving to the United Kingdom, I discovered how every place has its own traditions, ingredients, and ways of bringing people together around the table. Those experiences shaped the recipes I create today.

Although Mediterranean cooking remains at the heart of my kitchen, I also enjoy preparing comforting family favorites, simple weeknight dinners, baked desserts, and recipes inspired by different cuisines that fit naturally into everyday cooking.

Why I Started Vargasavour Recipes

What began as a hobby gradually became something much bigger.

Friends and family were always asking for my recipes, so I decided to create a place where I could keep them all together. Over time, that small collection grew into Vargasavour Recipes, a website visited by home cooks from around the world looking for dependable recipes they can make with confidence.

Today, Vargasavour Recipes helps home cooks discover simple, reliable recipes inspired by Mediterranean cooking and everyday homemade meals. Whether you're preparing dinner after work, baking for family, or trying something new for the weekend, I want every recipe to feel approachable and achievable.

My Recipe Philosophy

Every recipe I publish follows the same principles.

  • I use ingredients that are widely available.
  • Every recipe is tested multiple times before it's published.
  • Instructions are written to be clear and easy to follow.
  • I explain each step so you understand why it matters.
  • My recipes are designed for real home kitchens, not professional restaurants.

I believe cooking should feel enjoyable rather than stressful. Good food doesn't have to be complicated, and some of the best meals come from simple ingredients prepared well.

My Mediterranean Roots

Mediterranean cooking continues to inspire many of the recipes you'll find here.

Fresh vegetables, olive oil, garlic, herbs, seafood, chicken, simple desserts, and seasonal ingredients appear throughout my cooking because that's how I learned to cook growing up. Rather than relying on complicated techniques, I prefer recipes that let good ingredients speak for themselves.

Even when I create recipes inspired by other cuisines, I often bring the same Mediterranean approach, fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and uncomplicated methods.

My Cookbook

One of the most rewarding milestones in my cooking journey has been publishing The Cozy Mediterranean Kitchen.

It brings together many of the recipes and cooking principles that define Vargasavour Recipes, making it easy to enjoy homemade Mediterranean-inspired cooking in your own kitchen.

Whether you're completely new to cooking or already confident in the kitchen, I hope it becomes a book you reach for again and again.

Beyond the Kitchen

When I'm not developing recipes, you'll usually find me behind the camera styling and photographing food, planning new recipe ideas, or exploring local markets looking for fresh ingredients and inspiration.

Food photography has become just as important to me as cooking because I love showing recipes exactly as they look in a real kitchen. My goal is for every photograph to reflect the finished dish honestly, so you know exactly what to expect when you make it yourself.

I also enjoy continuously testing recipes, improving older recipes, and learning new cooking techniques that help make home cooking simpler.

Thank You for Visiting

Thank you for spending time here and allowing me to be part of your kitchen.

Whether you've been cooking with me for years or this is your first visit, I hope you find recipes that become regular favorites in your home. Nothing makes me happier than knowing my recipes are helping people cook for family and friends with confidence.

I hope you'll stay awhile, explore the recipes, and come back whenever you're looking for something delicious to make.

Happy cooking,

Estefania
