Crispy potato wedges in under 30 minutes without deep-frying? It's possible with the air fryer! Crispy and salty on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside. What could be better?
Cut each potato into wedges. Try to keep them similar in size for even cooking.
In a large bowl, combine the potato wedges and extra virgin olive oil. Mix well until well coated
Add to the potato wedges salt, white pepper powder, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Toss the wedges well to ensure they are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
Place the seasoned potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking.
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C ( 392°F) for about 5 minutes.
Air fry the wedges at 200°C ( 392°F) for 10-15 minutes.
When the potato wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, remove the wedges from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them on their own!
Notes
Choose the Right Potatoes: For crispy wedges, go for starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold. Their higher starch content makes them extra crispy.Cut Evenly: Cut the potatoes into even wedges for uniform cooking.Experiment with Seasonings: Season to taste with your favorite herbs like rosemary, thyme, or parsley for extra flavor.Check for Doneness: The wedges should be golden and crispy outside, tender inside. Use a fork to check doneness.Serve Immediately: Enjoy air-fried wedges fresh for the best crunch. They lose crispiness if they sit too long.Use Parchment Paper: If your air fryer sticks, try using perforated parchment paper. It prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier.Storage and Reheating: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to make them crispy again.
