⭐Why You'll Love Air Fryer Thin Pork Chops

  • Quick and Easy Preparation: Thin pork chops cook quicker than thicker ones, making them perfect for busy weeknights.
  • Time-Saving: Thin pork chops cook in just 8-10 minutes, much faster than in a traditional oven.
  • Great for Meal Prep: Cook a batch of pork chops and use them in different meals throughout the week, like salads, sandwiches, or stir-fries.

🧾Air Fryer Thin Pork Chops Ingredients

Here’s what you need to make these Air Fryer Thin Pork Chops:

Air Fryer Thin Pork Chops
  • Pork Chops: I prefer using bone-in pork chops because they add more flavor and juiciness to the dish. For this recipe, I'm using ½-inch thick pork chops.
  • Salt: For seasoning the pork chops.
  • Pork Chop Seasoning: I made a seasoning mix with dark brown sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, and other spices. It adds richness, and a touch of sweetness to the pork chops. You'll taste the smokiness of the paprika, the warmth of the cumin, and a hint of spice, it really brings out all these delicious flavors!
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil: I use this oil for cooking and mixing the spice blend into a paste to marinate the pork chops. It helps create a crispy outer layer and adds a delicious richness. I like using extra virgin olive oil for its flavor, but you can also use sunflower oil or butter if you prefer.

💭Tips for Recipe Success

Choose Thin-Cut Pork Chops: I recommend choosing pork chops that are about ½ to ¾ inch thick.

Thinner chops cook faster and tend to get crispy in the air fryer, which I really enjoy.

Arrange in a Single Layer: Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they're not stacked on top of each other.

This way, the hot air can circulate all around them evenly, ensuring they cook perfectly.

Monitor Cooking Time: Cooking times in the air fryer can vary based on how thick your pork chops are and the specific model you're using.

Typically, thin pork chops cook in about 8-10 minutes at 200°C (392°F). Remember to flip them halfway through cooking so they cook evenly on both sides

Instructions

  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  • Place the pork chops in a bowl, add salt, pork chop seasoning, and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Rub the spice mixture over all sides of the pork chops and let them marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer, leaving a little space between each chop.
  • Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 5 minutes, then flip all of the pork chops and cook again for 4-5 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 62.50 °C (145 °F).
  • Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the pork loin chops hot and enjoy!

Notes

Marinate the Pork Chops for at Least 30 Minutes: I find this helps the flavors really sink in, and if you have the time, letting them sit a bit longer makes them even better.
Leave Space in the Air Fryer Basket: I always make sure the pork chops aren’t touching so they cook evenly and get a nice crisp edge.
Taste your Seasoning Before Using: I like to sample my spice mix and tweak it depending on what I’m in the mood for, sometimes a little extra paprika or garlic powder makes all the difference.
Keep an Eye on the Cooking Time: Air fryers can vary a lot, so I always check the first batch a minute or two early just to make sure they don’t overcook.
