🧾Ingredients
Here is a list of everything you need.

- Egg: Acts as a binding agent, helping to hold the batter together. They also contribute to the structure and texture of the fritters.
- Vanilla Extract: Adds flavor and aroma to the fritters, enhancing their overall taste.
- Sugar: Provides sweetness to the batter, balancing the tartness of the apples and adding a caramelized exterior when the fritters are fried. Substitute granulated sugar with brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup for sweetness. Adjust the quantity to taste.
- Salt: Enhances the flavors of the other ingredients and helps to balance the sweetness of the sugar. Omitting salt is an option.
- Yogurt: Adds moisture to the batter and contributes to the tender texture of the fritters. It also provides a subtle tanginess that complements the sweetness of the apples. You can substitute yogurt with an equal amount of sour cream or buttermilk for moisture and tanginess.
- Oil: Is used for frying the fritters, creating a crispy exterior while keeping the inside moist and tender.
- Flour: Serves as the main dry ingredient in the batter, providing structure and stability. It helps to bind the other ingredients together and gives the fritters their characteristic texture. For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free flour blend or almond flour.
- Baking Powder: Is a leavening agent that helps the fritters to rise and become light and fluffy when fried. If you don't have baking powder, you can use an equal amount of baking soda combined with an acid like lemon juice or vinegar.
- Apple: Is the star ingredient in apple fritters, providing natural sweetness and a juicy, fruity flavor. They also contribute to the texture of the fritters, adding softness and moisture. Feel free to substitute apples with other fruits such as pears, peaches, or bananas. Ensure that the fruit is ripe and soft for best results.

💭Tips for Recipe Success
Maintain Consistency in Batter: Ensure that the batter is neither too thick nor too runny. Adjust the consistency by adding a little more flour or liquid if needed.
Control Oil Temperature: Use a candy thermometer to monitor the oil temperature and maintain it around 175°C (350°F). This ensures that the fritters cook evenly and develop a crispy exterior without absorbing too much oil.
Use a Piping Bag for Better Control: Transfer the batter to a piping bag for easier and more controlled dispensing into the hot oil. This helps create evenly sized fritters.
Fry in Batches: Avoid overcrowding the pan, as it can cause the temperature of the oil to drop, resulting in soggy fritters. Fry the fritters in batches, giving them enough space to cook evenly.
Drain Excess Oil: Place the fried fritters on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil and prevent them from becoming greasy.
Storage: Place leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Prior to serving, reheat them briefly in the oven or toaster oven to restore their crispness.

No, Apple Fritters are not doughnuts. While both are fried, doughnuts typically consist of a ring or ball of dough, whereas apple fritters are made with a batter containing chopped or pureed apples and are irregularly shaped.
Your homemade Apple Fritters may be soggy due to factors such as inadequate oil temperature, overcrowding the frying pan, excess moisture in the apples, or improper draining after frying.
Your fritters may not be crispy due to factors such as insufficient frying time, using a batter that's too thick, or not draining excess oil properly after frying.
