Ingredients 

  • 500 g Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
  • 30 g Flour
  • 3 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
  • 120 g Honey

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper, then lightly coat with flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken thighs and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Turn and cook the other side for 2 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Make a bit of room in the pan, add the minced garlic, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Flip the chicken, let it simmer for a minute until slightly thickened, and ensure the chicken thighs are well coated with the honey garlic sauce.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm. Pair with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.

Notes

Dry the Chicken Well: This helps the flour stick better and gives a nice golden crust when you cook it. Too much moisture can make the chicken steam instead of sear. 
Don't Skip the Flour: It helps create a light coating that soaks up the sauce beautifully. Just a thin dusting is enough, no need to overdo it. 
Get the Pan Hot Before Adding Chicken: A properly heated pan ensures a nice sear. If the oil isn’t hot enough, the chicken won’t get that crispy, golden-brown color. 
Be Quick with the Garlic: Garlic burns fast! Once you add it, stir quickly and move on to the next step so it stays fragrant without turning bitter. 
Watch the Sauce Thickness:  The honey makes the sauce thicken fast. If it gets too sticky, a splash of water will loosen it up while keeping the flavors strong. 
Coat the Chicken Well: Let the chicken sit in the sauce for a minute so it soaks up all that sweet and tangy goodness.
