🧾Baked Salmon in Foil Ingredients
Here’s what you need to make this Baked Salmon in Foil recipe:
- Salmon: It’s the main ingredient that makes the dish. I love how tender and flavorful it is, and how it pairs so perfectly with the other ingredients.
- Unsalted Butter: It adds smooth richness and helps keep the salmon juicy. It also brings a light flavor that complements the fish perfectly.
- Salt and Black Pepper: Together, they bring out the natural sweetness of the salmon and add just the right amount of warmth and depth without overpowering the dish.
- Garlic: It adds a savory, aromatic depth to the salmon. As it bakes, the garlic infuses the fish with flavor, making the dish feel comforting and rich.
- Lemon Juice and Lemon Slices: I love using fresh lemon juice because it brightens up the dish and gives the salmon a fresh, tangy zing. The lemon slices on top add extra freshness and flavor as they bake with the fish.
- Rosemary: This herb adds an earthy, woodsy touch that ties everything together. It gives the salmon a special herby flavor that feels rustic and cozy.

🍽 What to Serve with Baked Salmon in Foil
For a perfect meal with baked salmon in foil, I love pairing it with potato wedges, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Marinated tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, and herbs add a refreshing, tangy contrast to the richness of the fish. Garlic bread or crusty ciabatta is great for soaking up the salmon’s juices. To finish, I enjoy a light lemon tiramisu, which is refreshing and the perfect citrusy touch to end the meal.

💭Tips for Recipe Success
Don’t Overcook the Salmon: Since the salmon cooks in just 10 minutes, I always check it right after that time. If it flakes easily with a fork, it's done! Overcooking it will dry it out, so keep an eye on it.
Wrap the Foil Tightly: I make sure to seal the foil tightly around the salmon. This helps trap all the moisture and flavors inside, keeping the salmon tender and juicy while it cooks in its own juices, including the lemon.
Generously Use Melted Unsalted Butter: I make sure the salmon is well-coated with butter mixture. It helps keep it moist during the 10-minute cooking time and adds a delicious richness to the overall flavor.
Storage: I store leftover baked salmon in an airtight container in the fridge, and it stays fresh for up to 2 days.
